Birmingham and Solihull share one NHS area
NHS Birmingham and Solihull ICB publishes patient-choice information. Ask your GP which current referral policy applies to you and whether any approval step is needed.
A provider-contact email on the ICB patient-choice page is for NHS providers. It is not a patient referral inbox.
Check current availability before choosing
The joint Black Country notice names Birmingham and Solihull among the ICBs that have asked some providers to temporarily pause new assessments. Do not read this as a ban on every provider or every appointment.
- Discuss your difficulties and preferred assessment service with your GP.
- Ask your GP which current local referral policy applies to you.
- Ask whether the provider is currently accepting the relevant NHS-funded referrals.
- If already referred, ask the provider whether the pause affects you.
The joint notice
Read the current NHS notice for the scope of the temporary pauses and what affected patients should do. Policies and provider arrangements can change.
Check before your GP conversation
ADHD UK is an independent charity, not the NHS. Its Right to Choose resource can help you investigate options; your GP and the provider should confirm the current arrangements.
